Description
The Bitmain Antminer L9 16G Oct Scrypt ASIC Miner is a high-efficiency mining machine built to mine Litecoin (LTC) and Dogecoin (DOGE) using the powerful Scrypt algorithm. Delivering up to 16 GH/s hashrate with optimized power consumption, the Antminer L9 16G Oct ensures consistent 24/7 operation for both professionals and beginners. This Scrypt ASIC miner draws 3360 W continuously and needs a 220–277 V supply on its own circuit (Bitmain’s published L9 input range) — it will not run on a standard 120 V household outlet. It is a data-centre-class machine: Bitmain publishes 75 dBA at 25 °C with the fan at maximum RPM, which is too loud for an occupied room. Plan for a garage, an outbuilding, a dedicated shed or a hosting facility.
Specifications
| Model | Antminer L9 16G Oct |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer | Bitmain |
| Algorithm | Scrypt |
| Coins mined | Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE) |
| Hashrate | 16 GH/s ±5% |
| Power consumption | 3360 W at the wall |
| Efficiency | 0.21 J/MH (210 J/GH — 16 × 210 = 3360 W) |
| Input voltage | 220–277 V AC, single phase, 50–60 Hz, 20 A max (Bitmain L9 specification). Read the bottom of that range before you wire anything: a 208 V circuit is below what Bitmain rates the L9 for, and 110–120 V is not an option at all |
| Cooling | Air cooled — fan cooled. Bitmain footnotes its published noise figure “max condition: fan is under max RPM”, so that 75 dBA figure is the machine working hard, not idling |
| Noise | 75 dBA at 25 °C — Bitmain’s published L9 figure, measured with the fan at maximum RPM. Too loud for an occupied room |
| Weight | 14.2 kg net, 16.3 kg gross (Bitmain’s published L9 figures). Freight is quoted on the gross weight, not the bare machine |
| Condition | Brand New – Tested and Verified |
| Warranty | Bitmain’s, not ours — 180 days (the “generally 180 days” Bitmain publishes for new miners outside the 19 series), counted from Bitmain’s official dispatch date rather than from the day it reaches you, and subject to the sales contract. Bitmain’s published note, read 15 August 2026. On a unit that has sat in a warehouse some of that is already spent, so ask us to check the serial before you pay |

Key Features
- ✔ Merge-mines Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time — one Scrypt share is credited on both chains.
- ✔ Stable operation under continuous workloads.
- ✔ Optimized energy-to-hash ratio for better ROI.
- ✔ Same 210 J/GH efficiency as every other L9 bin — the 15G, 16G, 16.5G and 17G are the same machine sorted by chip quality.
- ✔ Pre-tested and ready for shipment worldwide.
Questions buyers ask about this machine
What will it cost to run?
That depends on your electricity rate, so here is the part we can state exactly: at 3,360 W running 24/7, this machine burns about 2,419 kWh a month. Multiply that by your own all-in rate per kWh — including delivery charges, not just the supply rate — to get your monthly power bill. We do not publish profitability figures, because they change with difficulty and price every day.
What can I mine with it?
It mines Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE). The algorithm is Scrypt, and ASIC silicon is single-purpose: it will mine coins on that algorithm and nothing else, whatever the price of anything else does.
Is this a new unit?
Yes — new stock, as described in this listing. Any manufacturer warranty term that applies is stated in the description above; where none is stated, none is claimed.
Shipping cost for this exact item, and how warranty and returns work here, are answered in the Shipping & buying tab on this page. Anything else, ask a person on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com — we would rather talk before you buy.

Wondering whether the 17G bin is worth the step up from this one? Both run at 210 J/GH, so the answer comes down to your circuit and your cost per gigahash — we work it through in Antminer L9 16G vs 17G.
Two questions sit above the bin choice. Kaspa miner vs Litecoin miner asks the first one — Scrypt or Kaspa — with both break-even rates derived from live difficulty rather than a calculator. It also carries the electrical detail that catches buyers out on this bin specifically: on a 208 V supply, 3,360 W sized at the NEC’s 125% continuous-load rule needs more than a 20 A circuit, the same as the 17G.
