Description
The Goldshell AE-BOX II is a zkSNARK prover for Aleo — 54 MH/s for about 530 W, roughly 9.8 J/MH. It is the second generation of Goldshell’s AE BOX: same compact box, hashrate up from 37 MH/s to 54. It mines Aleo and only Aleo. New stock, and we will confirm the batch in writing before you pay.
A correction to what this page used to say
Until 29 July 2026 this listing described the AE BOX II as an Ethash miner for Ethereum Classic and ZIL — in the title, in the spec table and in the FAQ below. That was wrong. Goldshell builds this machine as an Aleo zkSNARK prover, and zkSNARK silicon cannot mine Ethereum Classic at any speed. We have corrected every line of it rather than quietly editing the spec table, because somebody may have read the old one. If you bought this from us expecting an ETC machine, call +1 (781) 577-0377 and we will make it right.
Goldshell AE-BOX II 54M specifications
| Model | Goldshell AE-BOX II 54M |
|---|---|
| Algorithm | zkSNARK — Aleo (ALEO) only. Not Ethash, not Ethereum Classic, not ZIL |
| Hashrate | 54 MH/s ±5% |
| Power consumption | 530W ±5% |
| Efficiency | ≈9.8 J/MH (530 W ÷ 54 MH/s). zkSNARK efficiency only compares against other Aleo hardware — never against a Bitcoin miner’s J/TH |
| Input voltage | 12 V DC, 10 A — Goldshell rates the miner itself at 12 V DC, fed over dual 6-pin PCIe from an external power supply. There is no AC inlet on this box |
| Cooling | Dual-fan air cooling system |
| Noise | 35 dB published by Goldshell — we have not metered one. The 60–65 dB this table used to show was template copy, not a measurement |
| Network | Ethernet |
| Condition | Brand new and tested unit |
It does not plug into a wall on its own. Goldshell’s published input for the AE-BOX II is 12 V DC over two 6-pin PCIe connectors, not a mains voltage — the 110–240 V figure you will see quoted elsewhere is the rating of whatever external PSU somebody put in front of it, not a property of the miner. Budget for a PSU that can deliver 530 W continuously on the 12 V rail; one is not included unless this listing names it above. What’s in the box
- 1 × Goldshell AE-BOX II 54M miner
- Nothing that is not listed above. Cords, controllers, brackets and spares are only included when this listing names them — if you need to know before you pay, ask on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com and we will confirm in writing what is physically in the crate
Get your Goldshell AE-BOX II Aleo miner directly from ING Mining, your trusted source for verified crypto mining hardware. It ships worldwide, and what a US checkout charges against what a quote covers is published on shipping and delivery rather than promised in a sentence. The person who answers the phone is the person who handles the hardware. This listing states no warranty term, so we are not going to imply one — Goldshell is not Bitmain and none of Bitmain’s published miner cover reaches this box. Ask before you pay and we will confirm in writing what comes with the exact unit. To monitor network profitability and performance data, visit WhatToMine or Minerstat Hardware Database.
Before you order: this is a single-coin box
A zkSNARK prover proves Aleo transactions and does nothing else. There is no second chain to fall back to and no resale market of the kind an S19 has — a Bitcoin miner that stops paying is still worth something to somebody, and an Aleo prover is worth what Aleo is worth. Buy it because you have looked at that project yourself. If you want the same bet on a different network, we stock the IceRiver AE3 for Aleo at 2 GH/s and the Pinecone INI Box for InitVerse.
Questions buyers ask about this machine
What will it cost to run?
That depends on your electricity rate, so here is the part we can state exactly: at 530 W running 24/7, this machine burns about 382 kWh a month. Multiply that by your own all-in rate per kWh — including delivery charges, not just the supply rate — to get your monthly power bill. We do not publish profitability figures, because they change with difficulty and price every day.
How loud is it?
Goldshell publishes 35 dB, which is quiet enough for a home office and is the reason this box exists in this shape. We have not metered one ourselves, so take 35 dB as the maker’s figure rather than ours — and note that it is a fan, so it is a constant noise, not an occasional one. The 60–65 dB this page used to claim was template copy carried over from an industrial machine.
What can I mine with it?
Aleo, and nothing else. The algorithm is zkSNARK and ASIC silicon is single-purpose: it proves Aleo transactions and will not mine Bitcoin, Ethereum Classic or ZIL, whatever the price of anything else does.
Is this a new unit?
Yes — new stock, as described in this listing. Any manufacturer warranty term that applies is stated in the description above; where none is stated, none is claimed.
Shipping cost for this exact item, and how warranty and returns work here, are answered in the Shipping & buying tab on this page. Anything else, ask a person on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com — we would rather talk before you buy.

Before you buy: this is a zkSNARK machine rated 54 MH/s ±5% on 530W ±5%. That is MH/s of proof work, not the TH/s of a Bitcoin miner or the GH/s of a Scrypt one, so no J/TH or J/GH figure anywhere on this site is comparable with it – which is why it has no row on our comparison table. why efficiency figures do not cross algorithms is where we set out the one number that does survive the crossing.
