Description
A Bitmain APW17-1215c power supply — the PSU used across the current air-cooled Antminer generation, including the S21, S21+, S21 Pro and S21 XP. A failed PSU takes an entire machine offline, and it is one of the few Antminer faults you can fix in five minutes with a screwdriver, so keeping a spare on the shelf is cheap insurance on any fleet.
We list this power supply twice on this site, and the two listings are not priced the same. The other APW17-1215c listing describes the same part at a different price. Fitment notes
- APW17 is not APW12. They are different generations with different output ratings and different connectors. An APW12 will not correctly run an S21-class machine. If you are working on an S19-series miner, you want an APW12, not this.
- Check the suffix letter. APW17-1215a and APW17-1215c are not identical parts. Read the label on the PSU you are replacing and match it — or send us a photo of the label and we will match it for you.
- It needs 220–240 V. There is no 110 V mode and no adapter that makes one appear at this power level.
- The cord is a real part. C20-to-P13 4-pin cords are miner-specific. Confirm you have one, or ask us to include one.
Diagnose before you replace
A machine that will not power up is not automatically a dead PSU. Before you swap, check the input cord and the 240 V feed under load, and confirm the fault with a PSU tester if you have one. We see plenty of “dead” supplies that were actually a loose C20 connector or a tripped upstream breaker.

Questions buyers ask about this part
Will this run on a normal household outlet?
No. This part needs a dedicated 220 V circuit. A North American 120 V household outlet will not run it under any adapter or configuration. Have an electrician confirm the supply before the pallet arrives.
Is this a complete, working machine?
No. This listing is on the parts and repair shelf, which holds both brand-new spares and bench tools and as-is units sold for repair. What should I check the day it arrives?
Photograph the pallet or box before you open it, keep the packaging, and run the 48-hour acceptance test straight away. Freight claim windows are short, and a fault found on day two is a conversation while a fault found on day thirty is an argument. What this supply is worth against the machine it goes in
The power supply is the single most common thing that takes an Antminer down — ahead of fans, control boards and hashboards — and on an S21-generation machine this one is the cheapest insurance on the shelf. Against a new S21 Pro 245T at $4,200, $59.99 is 1.4% of the machine. There is no version of the repair arithmetic where that is a difficult decision: our working rule is that a part costing more than about a third of the repaired machine’s value is not worth fitting, and this is not within two orders of that line. why mining hardware fails has the failure order it comes from.
The reason to buy it now rather than later is the spares channel, not the price. Parts are cheap and available while a generation is current, and they get scarce exactly when the machines get cheap enough to be worth repairing — that gap is what used vs new ASIC miners calls the aftermarket valley, and it is the third gate any used purchase has to clear. If you intend to still be running S21 hardware in five years, the spare you want is the one you can buy today.

What a grade here does not mean
- Cosmetic wear is not a fault. Dust, scratches, scuffed labels and discoloured plastics are normal on hardware that has been earning. We photograph what we have; if the pictures matter to you, ask for more and we will take them.
- A grade is not a warranty. Warranty terms are stated per listing, never per store — see the Shipping & buying tab. A tested-working grade describes what the machine did on our bench, not what we owe you in six months.
- A boosted hashrate is not a spec. Where a unit ships on tuned firmware we say so and we give the factory figures too, because overclocking raises power faster than it raises hashrate — a tuned machine is less efficient per terahash than stock, not more.
- We will not invent a grade to fill a field. If a unit came in without history and has not been through the bench, its listing says that.
How the grade gets decided
A used-hardware seller who will not tell you how they test is asking you to take the grade on trust. Ours is published: the six-step bench procedure every machine goes through, and the five measurements that get recorded — per-board hashrate, chip count, measured wall power rather than the nameplate figure, hardware error rate, and temperature under sustained load. When it reaches you, run the 48-hour acceptance test straight away, while the freight claim window is still open.
