Description
A genuine Canaan Avalon 1166 Pro control board. The control board is the brain of the machine — firmware, network stack, fan control and the link to the hashboards. When it dies the symptoms mimic almost every other fault: no web interface, no IP address, fan errors on healthy fans, or hashboards reporting as absent when they are fine.

What’s in the box
- 1 × Original Avalon 1166PRO Control Board
- Nothing that is not listed above. Cords, controllers, brackets and spares are only included when this listing names them — if you need to know before you pay, ask on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com and we will confirm in writing what is physically in the crate
Those figures describe the miner this board goes into, not the board itself.
Why “not a knock-off” is the whole point
The counterfeit control board market is real and it is a genuine problem. Clone boards typically work long enough to pass a bench test and then fail on thermal cycling, or run firmware that will not accept a Canaan update. On a 3.4 kW machine, a board that drops out intermittently costs you far more in lost runtime than the difference in purchase price. If you are buying a control board from anyone, ask for a photo of the actual board you are getting.
Diagnose before you replace
- No network and no web UI at all — that is the control board’s job, so it is a reasonable suspect.
- All hashboards missing at once is more often a control board, a power rail or a ribbon cable than three simultaneous board failures.
- One board missing and the rest fine is almost never the control board. Confirm with a hashboard test fixture first.
- Reseat every ribbon cable before you buy anything. It is free and it fixes a surprising number of “dead board” machines.

Questions buyers ask about this part
Does this board need its own power feed?
No, and there is nothing here to plug into a wall. The control board is powered by the miner it goes into. The 185–285 V and 3,196 W figures in the table above belong to the AvalonMiner A1166 Pro this board fits, not to the board — the table says so and an earlier version of this answer read them as the board’s own. If you are planning the circuit for the machine itself, those are the right numbers to work from.
Will it fit my machine?
It is the control board for the Canaan AvalonMiner A1166 Pro. Send us the model and the silkscreen part number off the board you are replacing and we will check it against stock before you order — guessing control-board compatibility from a model name is how people end up with a board that boots and never sees a hashboard. We repair this hardware in-house, so that is a real check on a real shelf, not a formality. Ask on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com.
What does the machine this board goes into mine?
The AvalonMiner A1166 Pro is a SHA-256 machine, so it mines Bitcoin. The board on its own mines nothing — it is the controller, not the hashing hardware.
Is this a complete, working machine?
No. This listing is on the parts and repair shelf, which holds both brand-new spares and bench tools and as-is units sold for repair. Which of those this one is, is stated in the description above — read it before you order, and ask us on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com if anything about compatibility with your fleet is unclear. We would rather answer the question than take a return.
What should I check the day it arrives?
Photograph the pallet or box before you open it, keep the packaging, and run the 48-hour acceptance test straight away. Freight claim windows are short, and a fault found on day two is a conversation while a fault found on day thirty is an argument. Our own six-step bench procedure is published in full, so you can repeat exactly what we did.
Shipping cost for this exact item, and how warranty and returns work here, are answered in the Shipping & buying tab on this page. Anything else, ask a person on +1 (781) 577-0377 or ns@ingmining.com — we would rather talk before you buy.
