Rockwell took 2711C-T6T out of production on 30 June 2016 and names the 2711R-T7T as its functional replacement. That is exactly why surplus units still move: if you have a working machine built around a C600, the cheap fix is another C600, not a new terminal and a re-drawn application. Two consequences to plan around — the replacement is a different physical size, so a swap to the 2711R means a new panel cutout; and your project file was authored in PanelView Component software, which is not the same environment as the current tooling. Buying the same part keeps both problems closed.

Sanity-check the port count before ordering

Distributor listings for the C600 family quote a wider port set than Rockwell’s own record for this specific catalogue number, because the C600 was sold in several communication builds. Rockwell lists 2711C-T6T as single Ethernet and RS-232.
