The Binance hacker XRP stash moved on Monday, November 2. About 233.46 million XRP, roughly $293 million, was split into six new wallets, according to Bitcoin.com News. Separately, analysts say about $242 million of the Tron-side loot has already been pushed through bridges and swap services.

What the Binance hacker did with the XRP

The coins came from the October 29 attack. Five Binance wallets sent 233.46 million XRP to one attacker address in about four minutes. Then, the coins sat for roughly 80 hours. On November 2, at 03:47 UTC, the address sent six 1,000 XRP test payments. Nine large transfers followed between 03:52 and 04:00 UTC.

Five of the new wallets hold about 40 million XRP each. The sixth holds 33.46 million. As of 04:37 UTC, none of them had sent anything onward. Whale Alert flagged two of the 40 million XRP transfers from an address labeled “Binance Hack 2026.”

Not every outlet agrees on scale. U.Today reported a 40 million XRP outflow, while Bitcoin.com News says the whole balance moved. We lean on the larger figure because the nine transfers add up to it. Still, treat it as an early report.

After the Binance hacker XRP move: $242 million through Tron

However, this is a different pile. Analysts reported about $242 million moved through Tron-related paths within two days of the hack. Roughly $628 million in Tron assets was stolen in total. After Tether froze about 378.7 million USDT, funds moved through Relay, Thorchain, Chainflip and Symbiosis. Do not add the $293 million and the $242 million together. They are separate measures.

The attribution to North Korea comes from US authorities and from analyst SomaXBT, not from Binance. Binance says it has covered about 95% of the affected amount with company funds. For the earlier background, see our piece on the FBI naming North Korea.

Why XRP is harder to freeze

Ripple froze the stolen RLUSD. But issuer freezes do not apply to native XRP. That is why the splitting matters: it looks like a laundering step. The bitcoin portion, notably, has not moved yet.

Miner math: what the Binance hack laundering means for your margin

Here is the live maths on November 2. Bitcoin is $77,903 and the network is 1047 EH/s, so hashprice is about $33.68 per petahash per day. That is what one PH/s of hashing earns before power.

Machine 5c/kWh 8c/kWh 12c/kWh Break-even
Antminer S19 (95 TH/s, 3250 W) -$0.70 -$3.04 -$6.16 4.1c
Antminer S19k Pro (115 TH/s, 2645 W) $0.70 -$1.20 -$3.74 6.1c
Antminer S19 XP (141 TH/s, 3010 W) $1.14 -$1.03 -$3.92 6.6c
Antminer S21 Pro (234 TH/s, 3510 W) $3.67 $1.14 -$2.23 9.4c

Numbers are profit per day after electricity, at the three power prices shown. Break-even is the most you can pay per kilowatt-hour before the machine loses money. Specs are the manufacturer ratings; network data comes from mempool.space. Try your own power price in our free bitcoin mining profit calculator. If the hack fallout pushes bitcoin down another 10%: the break-even power price on an S19k Pro falls from 6.1 to 5.5 cents per kilowatt-hour. At 8 cents, daily profit goes from -$1.20 to -$1.59.

The blunt answer for miners

An XRP move does not touch the bitcoin network. Hashrate sits near 1047 EH/s per mempool.space. The risk is the bitcoin that has not moved. If that stash is sold or dumped, the price falls and older machines lose first. Check the table above for your power price.
