The middle half of the latest sales closed between $250 and $286. The lowest was $240 and the highest $320. Over 90 days the median is $288 on 50 sales. We drop parts, lots, repair listings and non-dollar sales first, and we only count a window with 5 or more sales.

Why the Antminer S19 XP price moved

We cannot see why each buyer paid what they paid. What we can do is compare the price with the mining maths. At today’s hashprice of $32.92 per petahash per day, the Antminer S19 XP breaks even at 6.4 cents per kWh. A miner on 5 cents earns about $376 from one in a year. The sold price is 74% of that, so the market looks cheap on the maths. However, it only works if you have power near 5 cents. At 8 cents it loses money.

Miner Math: what the machines earn today

Here is the live maths on November 1. Bitcoin is $77,858 and the network is 1069 EH/s, so hashprice is about $32.92 per petahash per day. That is what one PH/s of hashing earns before power.

Machine 5c/kWh 8c/kWh 12c/kWh Break-even
Antminer S19 (95 TH/s, 3250 W) -$0.77 -$3.11 -$6.23 4.0c
