Bitcoin mining profitability today comes down to one number: what you pay for power. At 8 cents power, only the S21 Pro still makes money. The S19, S19k Pro and S19 XP lose money at that price. That is why we rebuild this page every day from live network data, so the numbers below are for November 2, 2026.
Bitcoin mining profitability today, machine by machine
Here is the live maths on November 2. Bitcoin is $77,820 and the network is 1048 EH/s, so hashprice is about $33.61 per petahash per day. That is what one PH/s of hashing earns before power.
| Machine | 5c/kWh | 8c/kWh | 12c/kWh | Break-even |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Antminer S19 (95 TH/s, 3250 W) | -$0.71 | -$3.05 | -$6.17 | 4.1c |
| Antminer S19k Pro (115 TH/s, 2645 W) | $0.69 | -$1.21 | -$3.75 | 6.1c |
| Antminer S19 XP (141 TH/s, 3010 W) | $1.13 | -$1.04 | -$3.93 | 6.6c |
| Antminer S21 Pro (234 TH/s, 3510 W) | $3.65 | $1.13 | -$2.24 | 9.3c |
Numbers are profit per day after electricity, at the three power prices shown. Break-even is the most you can pay per kilowatt-hour before the machine loses money. Specs are the manufacturer ratings; network data comes from mempool.space. Try your own power price in our free bitcoin mining profit calculator. What the numbers say
Hashprice is $33.61 per petahash per day. In other words, a 100 TH/s machine earns about $3.36 a day before power. So everything else follows from that.
First, cheap power. At 5 cents, the S19 loses money. The Antminer S19 breaks even at just 4.1 cents, so it needs very cheap power to pay.
Next, 8 cents, which is about what a small farm pays. At 8 cents power, only the S21 Pro still makes money. The S19, S19k Pro and S19 XP lose money at that price. For example, the S19k Pro comes out at -$1.21 a day there.
Finally, 12 cents, closer to a home rate in much of the U.S. At that price every machine loses money. In fact, even the Antminer S21 Pro only breaks even up to 9.3 cents.
What changed since the last refresh
On 2026-11-01, hashprice was $32.93. Today it is $33.61, up 2.1%. Meanwhile, bitcoin went from $77,868 to $77,820, and the network went from 1069 to 1048 EH/s.
What would move bitcoin mining profitability
In practice, two things move hashprice: the bitcoin price and the network hashrate. So here is what a 10% swing in each one does.
If bitcoin rises 10%: the break-even power price on an S19k Pro rises from 6.1 to 6.7 cents per kilowatt-hour. At 8 cents, daily profit goes from -$1.21 to -$0.83.
If bitcoin falls 10%: the break-even power price on an S19k Pro falls from 6.1 to 5.5 cents per kilowatt-hour. At 8 cents, daily profit goes from -$1.21 to -$1.60.
If network hashrate rises 5%: the break-even power price on an S19k Pro falls from 6.1 to 5.8 cents per kilowatt-hour. At 8 cents, daily profit goes from -$1.21 to -$1.40.
The next difficulty adjustment is at block 975,744, about 11 days away. Right now it is estimated at -1.23%, according to mempool.space. However, that is only an estimate, because it moves with block times. For comparison, the last one was +5.54%.
How we work it out
We take the bitcoin earned per day over the last 144 blocks, including fees. Next, we multiply it by the price and then divide by the network hashrate. That gives hashprice. After that, each machine earns hashprice times its terahash, minus its power draw times your rate. Also, specs are the manufacturer ratings, so a worn or hot machine will do a little worse. On top of that, pool fees are not included.
In short, if your power costs more than the break-even column, the machine loses money. To test your own rate and machine, use our free bitcoin mining profit calculator.
